We welcome all to worship at First Lutheran as we celebrate the Nineteenth Sunday after Pentecost. This Sunday Visiting Pastor Melanie Haack will share the message from Matthew 21: 33-46. The First Lutheran Brass will play an arrangement of “For the Beauty of the Earth” at the 10:45 service.

Requests for the Blessing Basket, the Lutheran Food Pantry at St. John’s Findlay, are tooth paste, boxed sides, canned pasta, saltines, small containers of laundry soap, and shampoo. These items can be placed in the cart by the elevator or dropped off at the Food Pantry Tuesdays 11-2:00 pm. The church hosts this week’s Community Dinner, featuring a menu of a hearty chili, cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, homemade salads and desserts. The meal will be served from 11:30 – 1:00 pm. On Tuesday October 6, the church book club will meet in the lounge at 7:00 pm to discuss this month’s selection, “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt. On Wednesday October 7, there will be a Red Cross Bloodmobile held in the Fellowship Hall from noon to 5:00 pm Walk ins are welcome, but an appointment can by scheduled online at www.redcrossblood.org.
