We welcome all to worship at First Lutheran as we celebrate the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost. This Sunday Pastor Tucker O’Leary will share the message from Matthew 18: 15-20. This will be the last Sunday on our Summer schedule with one service at 9:30 a.m. A brass quintet will provide special music, playing an Andrea Norman arrangement of “I Need Thee Ever Hour.”
Requests for the Blessing Basket, the Lutheran Food Pantry at St. John’s Findlay, are canned meats and fish, boxed sides, canned pasta, saltines, small containers of laundry soap, and shampoo. These items can be placed in the cart in the hallway or dropped off at the Food Pantry Tuesdays 11- 2 p.m. Sunday School begins next week, September 13, at 9:30 a.m. for ALL ages, and we return to 2 services. The church will host this week’s Community Dinner, featuring a menu of griddled hot dogs, green beans, chips, fresh fruit, homemade salads and desserts. Dinner begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 12:30.p.m. Next month, we return to the winter schedule. Pastor Tucker leads a 15 minute midday prayer service at 11:30 am, Monday through Thursday in the Chapel, for members and people of our community to sit and refocus their day with personal prayer. Please join us for this special devotional time.
